Although drama seems to be a key feature for an 11-year-old girl (yes, we had a birthday. Did I forget that one? Still love ya Kayla!), this drama is the acting sort of drama. The Spectrum program that McKayla is a part of does an amazing production each year, written by the teachers, choreographed by parents and volunteers, and performed by the students, 3rd through 6th grade. Because McKayla has chosen to return to our neighborhood school for next year, this is her last one. She was amazing as Jane Goodall in "Hubbub on the Bookshelf II". The entire play was pretty amazing, and it's been a really cool thing for McKayla to be a part of each year. This was her first year with a speaking part, and she nailed it :)
