Family Time

What have we as a family been up to?

  • Lots of baseball! This kids played, but we also went to a few Raptors and Bees games. Oh, so fun! I love baseball!
  • Bear Lake. There is nothing that says summer like the annual trip with the family. This year was one of the best ever! The kids are at the perfect ages for it.
Tyson's favorite Bear Lake activity: sleeping, followed closely by golf.
  • 4th of July. Again, full of traditions. McKayla had her all-star softball game, followed by parade, swimming, bbq, another bbq, and fireworks!
  • Hiking
  • Lagoon. My kids love it. Ever since Papa bought us all season passes, we can't go a year without them! It's nice to go for a couple of hours and be done.
We needed summer to end so we could rest!

Tay Tay

The updates stopped. I realize that. Tayler is the reason. Although there's not much to update on him, he's definitely taking up more than his fair share of my time! Here's a few of the highlights in the life of a 3-year-old:
  • Moved from a crib to a "big-boy bed." I realize that this should have happened months or years ago, but he needed restraint. I promise. The transition went very smoothly. He's not fallen out yet, and he stays in bed when he is supposed to. So much for my worst fear.
  • Potty trained, un-potty trained, potty trained, un-potty trained (I think you get the gist). I'm slowly realizing that this child is my most stubborn, which is frightening. He decided he was ready to potty train, then after 100% being trained on his own, he decided he didn't want to be potty trained anymore. The cycle repeated itself too many times to count, with the episodes of being trained lasting from a couple of weeks to a couple of months. It better be final this time! Poop and underwear don't mix.
  • Mostly he's just busy. Because I haven't updated in so long, it's hard to remember all the naughtiness he exuded during the summer. I'm sure the comments will be full of examples, because somehow, my kids have a lasting impression. (For examples of current Tayler antics, stay tuned....this is just an update through the summer:))
